World Peace Council Resolution in Solidarity with People of Palestine

The Assembly of the World Peace Council, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, reaffirms its solidarity with the struggle of Palestinian people for their just cause and for the end of the occupation of Palestinian lands. The delegates of the Assembly condemn the Israeli policy, backed by the USA in complicity with the EU, which is continuing the occupation, building settlements and the separation wall, demolishing housing, invasions, arresting Palestinians, continuing the unjust blockade of the Gaza strip, and holding thousands of Palestinians in Israeli jails. The WPC expresses its support, and demands the end of Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, establishing an independent Palestinian state within the borders of June 4th 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, solving the issue of Palestinian refugees on the basis of UN Resolution 194. The WPC demands the immediate release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. The WPC also supports the Palestinian demand for the admission of Palestine as a full member of the UN .
